I decided on the name, Penn Point Designs, partially because of my last name starting with the Penn and I am also into designing messenger bags, so the penn point for sewing...I feel it is quite diverse. It fits!
I have been brainstorming for my logo design and sketching out some ideas on paper....I decided against the blue hamster. He just isn't working for me, a bit dodgy I think. I think he will do just fine right here on my blue blog! :-)
I haven't a clue which direction to go with my design...hhmm? Anyone out there? I think simple is best. What do you think?

I think you should go more the typographic root. The one on the middle drawing works best for me. I like the idea about combining it with a sign accommodated into your design. I like the top one but I see it as more contrasted and stronger.
Did you give up on the hamster as a name or an image?
If it is just an image - it doesn't work as good, because it needs a lot of simplifying and misses teeth. Hamster needs them.
